McAfee to create 120 jobs in Cork

The US security software firm McAfee is to create 120 new jobs as part of an expansion of its operation in Cork city.

The company already employs 170 people at its international headquarters in Cork, which is also home to its software operations.

It moved to Cork from Amsterdam in 2004 because of Ireland's low corporation tax rate.

The existing facility is now being expanded to include McAfee's sales operations for its European, Middle Eastern and African division.

The project is being supported by IDA Ireland.
